FAQ
-
What ages do you cater for?We offer classes that are suitable for all ages from toddlers to adults.
-
Do you allow parents / guardians to watch classes? We operate a no-parent policy in the majority of our classes. Exceptions to this are in place for Pre-School for the first couple of sessions while they settle into a new environment - although we do encourage parents to leave their children in the safe hands of our experienced teachers at the earliest opportunity.
-
How do I sign up for classes? To join Blandford School of Dance, please complete the registration form on our website.
-
Is there a notice period?Yes - we require 6 weeks written notice for any students who wish to leave a class. Payment is still due for the sessions that fall within this 6 week period.
-
Can I wait at the Studio while classes are in progress? We do have a small waiting room at the studio where parents and siblings are welcome to wait during classes - we even provide tea & coffee!
-
Can I park my car at Blandford School of Dance? There is limited parking available at the studio. Much of the wider parking area belongs to another business on the estate and so we ask anybody parking a car to ensure it is within the boundary of our unit - marked by a white line.
-
Where is Blandford School of Dance based? We are very lucky to have the use of our very own purpose-built studio in the heart of Blandford to hold our classes. The Studio is located at: Unit 2 Clump Farm Industrial Estate, Shaftesbury Lane, Blandford, Dorset, DT11 7TD. As you turn off of Shaftesbury Lane onto Tin Pot Lane, follow the road around as it eventually bends to the left, past the pet shop. Ahead of you will be a building owned by 'Amfax'. Turn right at this junction and ahead of you, just off to the right, you will see our brick-built unit. On occasion, we may use other locations for our classes or rehearsals. This is generally the case for show rehearsals where a large number of students will be attending. We will always communicate any change in venue at the earliest possible opportunity.

We do not require you to purchase or wear specific uniform for Free Trial Classes, but this will be necessary once students sign up to join Blandford School of Dance. Please see our Uniform Shop for more details.
-
