Blandford School of Dance has a rich heritage, formerly known as the Janet Knight School of Dancing. For over 40 years, Janet Knight inspired generations of dancers with her passion, dedication, and commitment to excellence in dance education.
In 2020, after decades of shaping young dancers and building a reputation for high-quality, enjoyable dance classes, Janet passed the torch to Gemma Davis. With a shared vision and a deep respect for the school’s legacy, Gemma founded Blandford School of Dance, aiming to continue Janet’s tradition of exceptional dance training while introducing fresh, modern approaches to the school's curriculum.
Under Gemma’s leadership, Blandford School of Dance has grown into a vibrant and inclusive community, offering a diverse range of classes to dancers of all ages and abilities. By maintaining the core values of creativity, technique, and enjoyment, the school ensures that each student thrives in a positive and encouraging environment.
We are proud to announce that Janet Knight has returned to the school as the Patron of Blandford School of Dance. Her continued involvement is a testament to the enduring spirit and values she instilled during her many years as a teacher. Janet's support and guidance as Patron allow us to honour the legacy she built while moving forward with our mission of inspiring the next generation of dancers.
